02 Feb Home Care Package Demand Model – Centacare Central Queensland
Bespoke solution incorporating client data
REMPLAN was engaged by Centacare Central Queensland to develop a bespoke resource to model future demand for Home Care Packages across the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton.
The Home Care Package Program (HCPP) is an Australian government program to provide home-based care, services and support which can improve senior Australians’ quality of life and help them to remain active and connected to their communities while remaining in their own home.
The Demand Model provides Centacare Central Queensland with tailored data, insights and modelling tools relevant for responding on current and future demand for Home Care Packages across their region.

Future Demand Modelling
Using customisable scenario modelling inputs such as market share and minutes of service per client, we were able to forecast the likely number of clients per year, hours of service delivery, and corresponding demand for home care packages and workers.
The following video demonstrates how to run a scenario using the model.
As per the example above, scenarios can be developed for single or multiple local government areas (LGAs) or Statistical Area 2s (SA2s).
The Home Care Package Demand Model is available for regions across Australia and can be tailored to the sub-regions and other requirements of Home Care Package providers.
