28 Apr REMPLAN helps Cessnock secure $6M Grant to Restart Tourism Post COVID-19
Cessnock City Council welcomed the NSW Government announcement that will see $6.6 million invested into the Cessnock Airport and help to restart Hunter Valley tourism post COVID-19. The funding will provide a significant boost for the recovery efforts in the tourism and aviation sectors in the Hunter Region.
The Cessnock Airport Upgrade has the potential of creating nearly 60 jobs and will transform the airport into one of the State’s top airports for general aviation.
Council was successful in securing funding through the Growing Local Economies Fund, part of the NSW Government’s commitment to the delivery of infrastructure projects which improve the economic growth and productivity of the state under Restart NSW.
REMPLAN worked closely with Council to develop the Cessnock Airport Upgrade Business Case which included delivery of an Investment Logic Mapping workshop with key Council and project stakeholders. The workshop ensured REMPLAN could develop the strongest investment case through identification of issues, project response and key outcomes.
REMPLAN has a strong track record of successful business case development for both direct submission to grant programs or to lobby across a variety of government bodies. Now more than ever bringing forward infrastructure investment is critical to supporting and retaining regional jobs.
If you would like to discuss how REMPLAN can assist in Business Case development, please call 1300 737 443.
Kind regards,
The REMPLAN team
