22 Nov REMPLAN Notice – 2016 Place of Work Census Data
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the advice (below) received from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), we have followed the ABS’ lead and have removed the 2016 Census place of work data from our REMPLAN Community software and public profiles. Please note that all 2016 Census place of usual residence and place of enumeration data remains accessible.
“The place of work data for the 2016 Census has been temporarily removed from the ABS website so an issue can be corrected. There was a discrepancy in the process used to transform detailed workplace location information into data suitable for output. Due to the highly specialised nature of this process, the ABS did not pick up on the issue until after the release of the data. We are working to correct this as quickly as possible and will release the updated information in TableBuilder in early December. The Working Population Profiles will be updated later in December.”

Initial guidance from the ABS is that the revised place of work data will be released in December 2017. Once the revised data is available all REMPLAN Community data, software and public profiles will be updated as soon as possible.
