03 May REMPLAN Data Update – 2015 Gross State Product & Tourism Expenditure
We are pleased to advise you that we have now updated REMPLAN economic data for the latest release of Gross State Product (GSP) from the the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ (ABS) National Accounts.
The updated datasets incorporate the latest ABS 2014/2015 Gross State Product data and replace the previous ABS 2013/2014 Gross State Product data.
Tourism expenditure data has also been updated following the release of new Tourism Research Australia (TRA) data. REMPLAN economic data now incorporates Local Government Area Profiles (2014) and Tourism Region Profiles (2015). (These new visitor profiles were released by TRA on 22 March 2016).
Subscribers to REMPLAN Economy (staff login software and data) are able to access the updated data online at www.remplanlogin.com.au/economy. The updated datasets will appear at the top of your regions list with the ‘(Apr 2016)’ suffix when you log into REMPLAN.
The image below shows a new (Apr 2016) dataset at the top of the regions list, located in the ‘Regions’ tab.
To view tourism expenditure data, select the ‘Tourism’ tab at the top of the screen, then select ‘Visitor Profile’ under the ‘Tourist Expenditure’ heading in the left hand side menu.(The source for the visitor expenditure data can be located at the bottom of the right hand side information pane).
