REMPLAN DIY Local Business Database with CRM Functionality

The REMPLAN Business Analysis Module (BAM) is a powerful resource for economic development and planning. For government agencies, REMPLAN software enables Australian Business Register (ABR) data to be combined with local knowledge to provide unique insights into the number and type of businesses operating in your area.  This resource is used to support funding applications, strategic planning, economic development strategies, for customer service delivery and engagement with local businesses.

“Cost effective means of building and maintaining a database of local businesses”

BAM is an easy to use business database that gives you access to the businesses operating in your area, rather than property owners.   The software is accessible to all staff with an official email address of your organisation.  All changes and exports of data are logged in the software’s history feature (visible to all staff), helping to ensure that your data and local businesses’ privacy is protected.

“Reduce the duplication of business lists and systems and improve customer service”

A valuable feature is the capacity for staff to add new businesses, add additional information about local businesses, and edit existing business records.  The ABR data is augmented by the information about local businesses that staff collect in the course of their daily work, including:

  • Internet and social media
  • Phone and mobile
  • Individual contacts
  • Number of staff and office size
  • General notes on who was contacted and when.

The Business Analysis Module allows you to report on and contact local businesses based on:
  • Industry sector (down to a 5 digit ANZSIC level)
  • Location (e.g. LGA, suburbs, post code, planning areas, statistical areas)
  • Entity type (e.g. Pty Ltd, sole trader)
  • GST registration.

The data can be further filtered based on whether businesses are:
  • Currently trading
  • Previously trading (as of a specified historical date)
  • New entries (within a specified date range)
  • Exits (within a specified date range).

Any business details that are added or edited by  staff  are reconciled by the software with the next update of your ABR data”
The ongoing management of your business data is a key feature of the REMPLAN Business Analysis Module, along with a unique mapping interface  and integration with a powerful economic and demographic analysis package.

The Business Analysis Module is available to Australian government agencies (local, state and federal), as well as universities as part of the REMPLAN Economy Package at no additional cost.
