2016 Census data is out and the REMPLAN team have been hard at work!
2016 Census (demographic) data has been released and shows the national population hit 23.4 million in 2016, more than double the population of 50 years ago (1966 Census).
This is a busy and exciting time for the REMPLAN team who are hard at work to ensure your staff access software and public online profiles for REMPLAN Economy and REMPLAN Community will reflect the 2016 Census data releases. It’s only last week that the 2016 Census demographic data was released by the ABS but REMPLAN are pleased to advise that REMPLAN Community software now includes the 2016 Census results for your regions right down to SA1 level.
Here are some key dates regarding further updates:
- 31 July 2017: REMPLAN to deliver 2016 Census updates for clients with custom geographic areas
- October 2017: A further 2016 Census release will occur, detailing place of work by industry, your REMPLAN Economy subscriptions will also be updated to reflect this release within a fortnight of ABS release
- February 2018: ABS to release the Socio Economic Index for Areas (SEIFA) based on the 2016 Census data.
All 2016 Census updates are included as part of your existing REMPLAN Community subscription.
